Listening to God's Directions!
The past two weeks we've been learning a little more about the Twelve Disciples, who they were and what they did... and how they listened to what go told them to do...

Serving Others
Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
This week we talked about serving others and how we share the gospel through our actions. Here are the girls putting their verse in order..

SuperStart
Today we started a new unit called SuperStart: Sticky Situations. We talked about what we like about our best friends, and how we can be hurt by them also. We paralleled our lives with Jesus and his friends (his disciples). We know that Jesus can relate to us when we have trials with our friends because he experienced the same things!

I 4 One Another
We asked everyone to draw us a road map to their house:
But the only road map to heaven is Jesus!
First, realize that you will not get to Heaven by trying to be good enough.
ROMANS 3:23 NKJ23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
GALATIANS 2:16 TEV16 . . . For no man is put right with God by doing what the Law requires.
Third, no matter who you are, or what you have done, you can receive God's gift of eternal life by receiving Jesus Christ now.
JOHN 1:12 NKJ12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name:
ROMANS 10:9 NKJ9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
JOHN 6:37 NJB37 Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me; I will certainly not reject anyone who comes to me,
JOHN 3:16 NRSV16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
Fourth, all whose Lord is Jesus Christ will immediately go to be with Him in Heaven when they leave their earthly body at death.
JOHN 14:3 NKJ3 And if I go and prepare a place for I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
PHILIPPIANS 1:21,23 CEV21 If I live, it will be for Christ, and if I die, I will gain even more.23 It is a hard choice to make. I want to die and be with Christ, because that would be much better.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:8 NKJ8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
